Today was a long travel day.  This was our first trip out of the new KCI airport. It’s pretty nice with lots of KC proud touches.

Both flights were free of issues and migration & customs in Ecuador was a breeze.  Rob and I and our respective plus 1’s were directed to a queue that zipped us to the front of the line. In this instance, the two of us in orthopedic braces had its perks!   Oh, I don't want to forget..props to Delta for a lovely and substantial cheese and fruit snack! Yum!

We made it to Ecuador at 8:30 pm and to our hotel not long after.  We were greeted with a warm mango and spice type non alcoholic beverage that was quite tasty!  In our room we also had a cute little welcome tart, basket of sweet and salty snacks and glass bottled water. Thus far this hotel is quite charming!

After a quick trip to the rooftop patio to see the view, we called it a night.  We have a big day tomorrow…a 7 hour tour to the ‘middle of the world'.
