Day 9–On the Boat/Split

Today we had breakfast and wandered around the Palace area shops…severalc times. We did our last bit of souvenir shopping and struggled to find a store we stopped by earlier where Denise saw a print she liked. Try as we may, we couldn’t find the store. Lesson: Sieze the opportunity when you see it…aka buy the print! :)

We also did a self guided tour of the basement of Diocletian’s Palace which was interesting. It also had many pigeons we seemed to wake who then made several close fly-by passes at some of us. There may have been some yelping and screaming (yes, probably not surprisingly, by me).

Around 1:30 pm we were met by a staffer of Unforgettable Croatia who took us to the ship via golf cart…fancy. We had to walk through a couple other ships to get to ours which was a first! Our cabins are quite nice and a bit more spacious than I anticipated.

We had a walking tour of Diocletian’s Palace which gave us more information on the areas where we had been walking around.

Once the walking tour concluded we headed back to the ship where we enjoyed our welcome dinner and we’re able to meet the crew.
