Today we began with another breakfast on the boat. We had a very funeral swim stop which included an attempt at synchronized swimming.
In the afternoon, we toured the town of Korcula. This is the town where Marco Polo stayed. Some say this is where he was from and others disagree. Regardless, there was plenty of Marco Polo swag for purchase.
A tidbit about the town is that the it was formed in the shape of a fish bone to reduce the effects of wind and sun and provide a more comfortable living environment for residents. The town is surrounded by a wall. Inside the town live 215 residents, 3,000 outside and a total of 16,000 on the whole island.
For dinner we ate at an outdoor restaurant atop the wall. Several of us had homemade macaroni with seafood which was delicious. After dinner, we had a medical event…‘removal of urchin spine debris from Rob’s foot’. After some oral anesthesia, the de-roofing and urchin spine removal was successful. Whew!
Enjoy the many pictures. :)

Croatia is made up of over 1,200 little islands.
Vintage cobblestones are slippery.
Each island has many, many churches.
Each island is also incredibly rich in history.
