Bonaire Day 4

Today we had split activities; Nikki, Chris, Ashley and David did 2 dives and Gma Kitty, Michelle Kevin, Emma, Harlow and I spent some time in the pool and then went downtown to do some shopping. A cruise ship was in port so the downtown area was a bit crowded. No worries, we still found some souvenirs.

For dinner we made fish, veggies, salad and burnt garlic bread (dang that broiler is extra broiley). This is day 2 of burnt bread. Stay tuned…I think the 3rd time we try will do the trick.

After dinner we acted on a suggestion that Steve, our ATV guide, suggested and we went to Lagun pier to do some stargazing. It’s incredibly dark and free of lights from the town so the stars were brilliant. Collectively, we saw 6+ shooting stars and what had to be a falling meteor…it was so bright. I realized I don’t take enough time to enjoy all the beauty around me. I can’t think of the last time I stargazed. I hope do it more frequently.
